Our Sustainable Energy Solutions
Aytekin Poultry invests in sustainable energy sources to meet the energy needs of its operations while producing in a way that respects the environment. Our renewable energy facilities help us reduce operating costs and minimise our carbon footprint at the same time.
Through solar power, biogas and waste heat recovery systems, we continue to increase the self-generation capacity of our integrated facilities and feed surplus electricity back into the grid, contributing to the national energy supply. Our energy efficiency projects are part of our work towards a sustainable future.
Our Energy Sources
Solar Power
We generate electricity from solar energy using panels installed on the roofs of our facilities and across our land. With a total installed capacity of 2 MW, our systems produce 1.1 MW of clean energy annually and cover a significant share of our operations' electricity requirements.
- 1.1 MW total installed capacity
- 10,000 m² of panel area
- Smart monitoring systems
- 1,500 tonnes of CO₂ saved per year
Our Sustainability Approach
We are developing pioneering practices in the efficient use of energy resources and the reduction of environmental impact in support of sustainable agriculture and animal husbandry. To lower our carbon footprint, we aim to meet 70% of our energy needs from renewable sources by 2025.
- Energy efficiency projects
- Waste management and recycling initiatives
- Reduced water consumption and water recovery
- LED lighting and smart building automation solutions
- Electric vehicle fleet and charging stations
- Sustainability training for our employees
- Carbon footprint measurement and reporting
Our Energy Efficiency Projects
Solar Power Expansion
During 2025 we aim to expand our existing solar power systems by a further 0.5 MW, reaching a total installed capacity of 1.5 MW. This additional capacity will allow us to cover 70% of our electricity requirements from solar energy.
